TV9 Network's News9 Kargil Honours 2024 celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War, honoring the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. Held at Le Meridien, New Delhi, the event paid tribute to soldiers who showed exceptional courage in the 1999 conflict.
Awards were presented by General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, and Mr. Barun Das, CEO of TV9 Network. Honourees included Lt General Mohinder Puri (Retd), Lt General Yogesh Kumar Joshi, Air Marshal PS Ahluwalia (Retd), Brigadier Devinder Singh (Retd), Brigadier Umesh Bawa (Retd), Colonel Rajeev Kumar (Retd), 5 Para Regiment, and Captain Yashika Tyagi (Retd).
Posthumous honours were given to Major C B Dwivedi and Captain Neikezhakuo Kengurüse.
Defense industry leaders Mr. Baba Kalyani, Mr. Sukaran Singh, and Mr. Arun Ramchandani were also recognized. General Chauhan released a special issue of Salute magazine, dedicated to Kargil heroes.
