ORSL introduces ‘Diarrhoea Se Darr Nahi’ campaign to save lives

Kenvue, the makers of ORSL, have partnered with Population Services International India (PSI India) to launch “Diarrhoea Se Darr Nahi”, a public health initiative aimed at reducing diarrhoea-related mortality among children under five. Over the next two years, the program will reach five million children across 10 districts in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, supporting the Government of India’s “Stop Diarrhoea Campaign”.

Key focus areas include raising awareness, promoting early intervention, and enhancing healthcare capacity by training ASHAs, caregivers, and service providers. The initiative will improve access to Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS), Zinc, and holistic hydration solutions. With ORS usage still low—only 60.6% of children under five receive it nationwide—this program seeks to close the gap, ensuring better healthcare access and child well-being in vulnerable communities.
