Advertisers pay huge money for slot during India-Pak Champions Trophy clash

Advertisers are gearing up for the India-Pakistan Champions Trophy clash in Dubai, expecting record viewership. A 10-second ad slot costs ?50 lakh—nearly three times an IPL playoff ad. Over 90% of inventory is sold, with prices rising for the rest.

In 2023, the match drew 173 million TV viewers on Disney-Star and Doordarshan, plus 225 million on Disney+ Hotstar. Peak concurrent viewers hit 76 million on TV and 35 million online.

This year, the game airs on Star Sports and JioCinema. Sponsors include Dream11, Vodafone-Idea, ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors, Birla Pus Opus, and Pernod Ricard. Despite Pakistan’s decline, the fierce rivalry remains a major cricketing event, making it a prime advertising opportunity.
