Rewarded Gameplay Reshapes Mobile Gaming Discovery and Engagement

A new survey by Almedia reveals a major shift in how gamers discover and play mobile games. Among 2,003 gamers in the US and UK, 50% have earned real-world rewards like cash and gift cards from brands such as Netflix and Amazon.

The study highlights rewarded gameplay’s growing influence, with 54% of gamers playing more than before and 42% attributing this increase to rewards. Additionally, 72% say rewards influence their decision to try new games, while 85% continue playing even after rewards end.

Game studios like Innplay Labs, Mad Brain Games, and Playtika have integrated rewards into their strategies via Almedia’s Freecash platform. The trend is expected to expand to console gaming, further shaping the industry’s future.
