As digital advertising grows in scale and complexity, Google is advancing its fight against ad fraud with Gemini. In its latest Ads Safety Report, the company highlights a shift from reactive moderation to predictive prevention, where AI detects threats before they reach users.
Unlike rule-based systems, Gemini interprets intent and context, analysing billions of signals to identify malicious behaviour early. In 2025, Google removed over 8.3 billion ads and suspended 24.9 million accounts globally, including significant action in India.
The company is also moving toward pre-publication validation, reviewing ads instantly at submission. Combined with advertiser verification systems, this dual-layered approach embeds trust into the ecosystem, signalling a broader shift where AI plays a central role in governing digital advertising environments.
