Sony MAX and Kailash Satyarthi Join Forces to Raise Awareness on Child Safety

Sony MAX has partnered with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion to promote child safety ahead of the World Television Premiere of Mardaani 3, scheduled for August 16 at 8 PM. The initiative uses the reach of entertainment to encourage greater awareness and collective responsibility towards protecting children.

As part of the collaboration, Satyarthi has recorded a special awareness message for Sony MAX, urging families and communities to respond quickly when a child goes missing. Inspired by the film’s focus on crimes against children, the campaign highlights the importance of vigilance and immediate action in protecting vulnerable children.

The partnership brings together the film’s powerful narrative on child protection and the advocacy of one of the world’s leading child rights campaigners. It seeks to encourage communities to approach child safety with greater compassion, awareness and urgency.

Satyarthi, who has spent decades working to protect children from trafficking, child labour and exploitation, stressed that every missing child should be treated as an emergency. He emphasised that while law enforcement agencies have a vital role, ensuring children’s safety requires collective participation from families, communities and society.

The campaign aligns closely with the central theme of Mardaani 3, which explores crimes against children and the challenges involved in protecting those at risk. The film features Rani Mukerji returning as Shivani Shivaji Roy, the determined police officer at the centre of the Mardaani franchise.

In the film, the disappearance of several young girls initially appears to be a routine missing-person investigation. The case soon develops into a larger conspiracy linked to an organised trafficking network, forcing Shivani to race against time to uncover the truth and protect the victims.

Through the collaboration, Sony MAX aims to extend the film’s social message beyond the screen and encourage audiences to recognise that safeguarding children requires awareness, timely intervention and shared responsibility. The initiative reinforces the broader message that every child deserves to grow up with safety, freedom and dignity.
