ICC Invites Bids for Global Marketing and PR Partner for 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has initiated a global tender process to appoint an integrated marketing and public relations agency for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. Through its commercial division, ICC Business Corporation FZ LLC (IBC), the governing body is seeking an experienced agency to develop and execute a worldwide communications strategy for its flagship ODI tournament, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia during October and November 2027.

The selected agency will play a key role in promoting the tournament by increasing global visibility, strengthening fan engagement, and managing large-scale promotional campaigns before and throughout the event. Working closely with the ICC and the Local Organising Committee, the agency will oversee creative campaign development, media outreach, milestone announcements, and integrated communication initiatives across multiple international markets.

Interested firms must submit their requests for the tender documents by August 27, 2026. To qualify, agencies are required to provide company credentials, sign a standard non-disclosure agreement, and present a portfolio of no more than 15 pages showcasing successful marketing and public relations campaigns for major international sporting events. Previous experience managing projects in Southern Africa will be considered a significant advantage during the evaluation process.

The tender announcement follows the recent unveiling of the tournament's official branding and host venues. The 2027 edition will be promoted under the theme "Three Nations, One Heartbeat," highlighting the collaboration between the three host countries.

The upcoming World Cup will also mark the return of cricket's premier One Day International tournament to the African continent after 24 years. Featuring an expanded format, the competition will include 14 teams, 57 matches, and 12 venues, with teams competing under a newly introduced three-stage tournament structure, promising an exciting and globally celebrated cricketing spectacle.
