The NBA and Skechers have launched the second season of Hoop Nation, a four-part docuseries celebrating inspiring basketball journeys across India. Now streaming on NBA India’s YouTube channel, the series highlights stories from Ishrat Akhter (Kashmir), Deepak P. Babu (Kerala), the Lao family (Kolkata), and Farooque Shaikh (Mumbai).
Blending real-life stories with Indian hip-hop, artists like SOS, ThirumaLi, EPR Iyer, and QK narrate the resilience and passion of players and fans shaping local basketball culture. Each participant also showcases Skechers’ high-performance basketball shoes.
The collaboration extends to grassroots development, with Skechers serving as official kit partner for the ACG Jr. NBA program—India’s largest school-level basketball tournament, reaching 4,000+ youth from 500+ schools. This marks Skechers’ continued investment in promoting basketball in India.
