PUMA has signed a Letter of Intent with RE&UP Recycling Technologies to advance a fully circular textile solution by turning textile waste into RE&UP’s next-gen recycled cotton fibers and polyester chips. This aligns with PUMA’s Vision 2030, aiming for 30% of its polyester apparel fabric to be fibre-to-fibre recycled by 2030. Already scaled through its RE: FIBRE program, PUMA will now expand the initiative into the Americas. RE&UP’s advanced technology can recycle complex textiles like polycotton and polyester-elastane blends. Howard Williams of PUMA emphasized the performance and sustainability benefits, while RE&UP’s Özgür Atsan praised the deepening partnership. With an annual capacity of 80,000 tons and use of renewable energy, RE&UP is helping set new circularity standards in textiles.
